Krzysztof Tchórzewski
Minister of energy

Born on May 19, 1950 in Rzążewo. Deputy to the Sejm of the  I, III, V, VI, and VIII term from Siedlce constituency.

Graduate of Warsaw University of Technology, holds Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering Department of WUT. Co-founder of the "Solidarity” of Siedlce region and its chairman in 1981. In 1974-1990 he worked in the Power and Energy Supply Division of the Polish National Railways in Siedlce.  In1990 - 1992 he was the Governor of the Siedleckie Province. From 1997 to 2001 he acted as the Secretary of State in the Ministry of Transport and Maritime Economy.

From 2001 to 2005 he was a member of the PKP Energetyka Management Board and the Economic and Financial Director of this company. In 2002-2005 he was a councilor of the Mazovian local government assembly. From March to November 2007 he acted as the Secretary of State in the Ministry of Economy and was responsible for mining and energy industry. 

In the Law and Justice party, he is a member of the Political Committee and Political Council.

Decorated with the Polonia Restituta Knight's Cross and Polonia Restituta Officer's Cross.

Married, has four sons and five grandchildren.
