New ministers in the government of Mateusz Morawiecki

Today President Andrzej Duda appointed, at the request of the Prime Minister, Konrad Szymański as the Minister for European Affairs and Michał Woś as the Minister of the Environment.

After the amendment to the Act on government administration departments entered into force, Minister Konrad Szymański and Minister Michał Woś took over their target offices. Previously they were ministers - members of the Council of Ministers.

The building of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister has an interesting history. At the beginning of the 20th century it housed the Cadet Corps. During World War I it served as a hospital. In September 1939 it was bombed, and the parts which were not destroyed (the northern wing and the ground floor) were converted into SS barracks.
