Minister of finances

He upholds public finances and is responsible for the effective and efficient spending of European funds, the state budget and the functioning of the financial market, the management of the public debt, and the implementation of tax revenue and expenditure in the state budget.

Has extensive experience (over 30 years, including international) in the banking and administration sectors, where he held managerial positions.

In 1997, he was appointed director of Bank Zachodni WBK S.A. Before that, he worked for Polski Bank Rozwoju S.A., Bank Przemysłowo-Handlowy, Bank Śląski and Bank Pomorski, as well as two London banks.  

Graduate of Goldsmiths University of London.

Founder of the "Kresy Historii" ["Borders of History"] foundation.

Fluent in English.

Between 27 November 2015 and 15 January 2018, he served as Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Development. Between 16 January 2018 and 30 June 2019, he held the office of Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Technology. From 1 July 2019 until 14 November 2019, he served as Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Finance. On 7 January 2019, he was appointed Representative of the Prime Minister in the Financial Supervision Authority.

On 15 November 2019, he was appointed to the office of Minister of Finance.
