Minister Michał Dworczyk informed that previous actions were presented during the briefing. The existing procedures were also verified and action plans for the upcoming days were discussed. The Prime Minister also declared that the government would allocate additional funds to fight the virus. The Prime Minister has today launched PLN 100 million, which hospitals will be able to apply for, through the voivods, for the purposes of possible preparations for admitting infected patients.
The government meets all the needs in the scope of examining people in whom infection is suspected on an ongoing basis and prepares reserves of tests diagnosing the presence of
coronavirus. Over the next few dozen hours we will have another 30,000 tests for testing potentially infected people - said Minister Michał Dworczyk.
Furthermore, the Minister of Health emphasised that the Prime Minister had ordered all voivods to introduce enhanced preparedness throughout the country. This means that the voivode may, through administrative decision, order hospitals for example to increase the base of beds on isolation wards, transforming a ward into the isolation ward and increase the number of personnel.
During the briefing, the voivods presented the Prime Minister with the stage of preparations in each voivodship. As Minister Paweł Szefernaker, the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Interior and Administration, emphasised, they were also obliged to make sure that sanitary inspectors in individual voivodships work 24 hours a day. Voivods updated the voivodship crisis management plans and are ready to act - he noted.
At the end, the head of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister appealed to everyone to provide only true information in connection with coronavirus.
We urge you to cooperate, because the disease has no party colours, we should all be together here.
