Warsaw: Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at Game Jam Square

The Prime Minister took part in the event during which he met IT developers and influencers, among others. The event is dedicated to video games developers, gaming fans and business representatives. It is aimed at promoting talents and electronic entertainment industry. This year, it was organised for the first time.

The Prime Minister emphasised that the government tries to support the game industry by establishing university schemes, offering direct support and promoting game industry events. He added that it was a great way to promote Poland.

Game Jam Square is about developing video games on a chosen topic within a specified time in teams or individually. The competition is judged by a jury in seven categories. The best teams are awarded Grand Prix and two equivalent awards.

Furthermore, e-sport fans have the possibility of watching the tournament of the best Polish teams Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and attend the stands of gaming start-ups.
