The Prime Minister took part in the end of the 2nd stage of Tour de Pologne

It is a cycling race that unites generations of fans said the Head of Government, watching, together with the Minister of Sport, the last few kilometres of the 2nd stage of the 76th TdP. The winner of the race was Luka Mezgec form Slovenia who is riding for Mitchelton-Scott.

The Prime Minister highlighted that this event is a great promotion of Poland and Polish sport. As he added, doing sport is the best prevention against sickness, and that is why it is worth investing in.

The first Tour de Pologne race took place in 1928, i.e. 10 years after Poland’s regaining independence, and a quarter of a century after the first famous Tour de France. One of the honorary patrons of TdP was the President Ignacy Mościcki, and the Marshal Józef Piłsudski was Head of the Honorary Committee.
