Talks between Prime Minister Beata Szydło and the Prime Minister of Spain

Prime Minister Beata Szydło spoke on the phone to the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Spain, Mariano Rajoy. They discussed, among others, the current political situation in Spain.

The Polish Prime Minister expressed her support for the Spanish government and the hope that it would be possible to solve the existing situation by consensus and dialogue. The Prime Minister underlined that the events that took place in Spain are its internal matter and should be dealt with in accordance with the Spanish legal order. She stated that the Polish government fully respected the principles of integrity and territorial unity of the Kingdom of Spain and hoped for a quick stabilisation of the situation in this country. Moreover, the discussion provided an opportunity to talk about the ongoing works in the EU concerning revision of the Posting Directive. Prime Minister Beata Szydło expressed her hope for further cooperation in this field within the Community.
