More money for science

The budget for 2016 has provided for a significant increase in money for science and research. Only from domestic funds, these inputs have increased by 15% - underlined prime minister Ewa Kopacz. She added that building a strong position of Polish scientists was one of her government’s priorities, which resulted, inter alia, in facilitating the commercialization of research results.

Dozens of eminent scientists received prime minister’s awards

Prime Minister Ewa Kopacz thanked the scientists for their toil and sacrifices. Sometimes the scientists work anonymously, but they do change our lives – the head of the government addressed the scientists. Everything you do, your great passion and commitment, is a proof for young people that it is worthwhile investing in personal development, she added. These awards are a symbol of how much we value and appreciate the scholars and scientists and how much we owe them, said Prime Minister Ewa Kopacz, at the same time emphasizing that her government stood guard the autonomy of science and universities.
