Prime Minister: The Poles feel safe thanks to the Police

According to the research, 98% of Poles feel safe in their place of residence. We owe this great achievement primarily to the Polish Police said the Head of Government during voivodeship celebrations on the occasion of the Police Festival in Katowice.

This years marks the 100th anniversary of the State Police establishment. It is a great occasion to celebrate. But we know perfectly well that police officers do not work only on special occasions, but they work every day and every night to make is safe said the Prime Minister.

Mateusz Morawiecki recalled that the government introduced many solutions to improve the operation of the Police. He meant e.g. the Modernisation Programme for Uniformed Services to which PLN 9.2 million was allocated, the re-establishment of over 100 Police stations, implementation of the National Security Threat Map in Poland, as well as the purchase of modern Black Hawk helicopters.

The Prime Minister thanked all police officers and their families for their loyal and outstanding service to the Polish society.

During the festival, the Head of Government handed the awards for merits for the Polish Police and laid a wreath at the Monument of Marshal Józef Piłsudski at the Bolesław Chrobry square in Katowice
