Today we celebrate the Border Guard Day.

The visit began with a tour of the border crossing, after which the Prime Minister met a group of officers from Bieszczadzki Border Guard Unit.

The crossing in Medyka is one of the oldest border crossings on the EU’s external border. This crossing handles the biggest number of travellers of all EU’s external border crossings - during one day, it is, on average, 13-15 thousand people and approximately 3.5 thousand vehicles. Bieszczadzki Border Guard Unit employs 1.5 thousand officers.
