Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki’s meeting with China’s Foreign Minister

Chinese Minister Wang Yi’s visit to Poland takes place during the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Poland and the People’s Republic of China, which is celebrated this year. Poland is for China the most important partner in the CEE region and one of the key Member States of the EU.

The purpose of the visit was to hold bilateral consultations at ministerial level and the 2nd meeting of the China-Poland Intergovernmental Committee, which aims to improve cooperation between the two countries. The Committee is chaired by foreign ministers and is composed of representatives of various ministries and government institutions. Its meetings are held in groups corresponding to particular areas of the Polish-Chinese cooperation.
