The Head of Government emphasized that the growth of raw material extraction is included in the Responsible Development Strategy and that it is to serve our national economy. We want to increase the extraction of raw materials and to use them, because it creates prosperity, new jobs, as well as more and more opportunities for investment and development said the Prime Minister.

Thanks to complex research based on 3D seismic profiles in Podkarpacie region it is possible to find new gas resources said the Head of Government. He added that possessing national raw materials leads to gas independence. It makes it possible to extract increasingly more gas, and more gas means increasingly more energy sovereignty he said.

During his speech the Prime Minister summarized also the activities of the government aimed at improvement of energy sovereignty of Poland. Among these activities he included the construction of a gas pipeline connecting Denmark and Poland, and The Lech Kaczyński LNG Terminal in Świnoujście. We will build the Baltic Pipe gas pipeline. We are after very advanced talks, the negotiations are going very well. Moreover, work is underway to increase the capacity of the Świnoujście gas terminal from 5 billion m3 to 7.5 billion m3 he recalled.

Together with domestic extraction, existing and new connections, we are moving towards energy and gas independence concluded Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki

Domestic deposits are the cheapest and most reliable source of gas. The intensification of exploration in the Podkarpacie region is part of the PGNiG's diversification strategy, which aims to guarantee domestic customers reliable gas supplies at competitive prices. Within 5 years, gas production in the Podkarpacie region will increase by over 25%, the Kramarzówka deposit alone is 12 billion m3 of gas, which will flow into the network as early as next year.
