The Prime Minister indicated that the motto of this year’s edition of Kongres 590, unlocking the potential of the Polish economy appeared already in the previous edition and he reminded that two years ago Poland’s economic growth was 2.4%, while today it is 5.7%. He confronted also the economic growth of Poland and of the eurozone, where it is 1.7%. Maybe we should finally say, that we unlocked the potential of the Polish economy said the Prime Minister.

The Head of Government reminded that positive economic indicators are confirmed by credit rating agencies. Also moving Poland to the group of developed countries by FTSE Russell is, in my opinion, quite symbolic pointed out the Prime Minister.

The model of economic growth that we proposed is a model of sustainable growth. And that is what we particularly wanted – that the economy and the society were going hand in hand highlighted Mateusz Morawiecki. That we were all on the same boat on the stormy waters of the global economy. And we are he added.

As indicated the Prime Minister, for the government the fast growth of the employees’ remuneration is crucial. We believe that then employers and entrepreneurs will appreciate them even more he said. He mentioned also the times when foreign products were associated with better quality goods. Today we start to ask, if the product is Polish. Not only because it is ours, but also because more and more often Polish means of high quality he pointed out.

According to the Prime Minister, it is a myth that the society does not need the state and that taxes are a lesser evil. It is not how super-modern countries act he said.

Mateusz Morawiecki reminded also some of the government’s actions related to the economic policy: regaining a few billions of PLN from taxes, implementing the Constitution for Business, 9% tax for SME, fight against criminal tax organizations, small ZUS payment for small enterprises, building roads and bridges or reducing burdens in OSH trainings for around 6 million employees.

We are lucky to be able to build the strength of our state and our society on strong economy, together with our entrepreneurs, employees and the state which is to support this growth in a professional and intelligent way emphasized the Prime Minister. The eagle of our economy has to fly up as high as possible he added.
