None of us would be here if not for the persistence of the whole environment of Law and Justice and, more broadly, Solidarity, from which we stem. Therefore, I would like to dedicate this award, which I surely do not deserve, to all members of Law and Justice and Solidarity – the United Right, stated the Prime Minister.
Mateusz Morawiecki thanked the
Gazeta Polska clubs for honouring him and for their persistence in efforts for building free media, which have undoubtedly contributed to the development of the dream Homeland.
We are currently at such a stage where we can say that we are building together the Poland of our dreams, for which we have been longing for many decades, stated the Prime Minister. As he added, it was the fight for free media that was a key milestone on the path to a truly sovereign Republic.
Poland of our dreams
According to the Prime Minister, fighting for the truth is currently the most important issue, as it will determine the better future of Poland.
Throughout the years of post-communism, the years of the Third Polish Republic, which has been free, but also someway passive, we have sought to preserve the truth about our history, the dreams about a great Poland of the future, the faith in reconstruction of this great Poland. We stood up straight, we raised our heads, and we succeeded. Currently, we are at such a stage where we can say that we are building together the Poland of our dreams, the Republic for which we have surely been longing – me and all people present in this hall – for many decades, or in the case of some great actors of our times, for example Mr Andrzej Gwiazda, for as long as seventy years. I would like to thank all these wonderful people of Solidarity and all who have fought for a better country in the era of the Third Polish Republic for their efforts, explained the Prime Minister.
As he added, we will certainly defend the truth; it is absolutely unimaginable to take victims as perpetrators, to mix them with oppressors.
Mateusz Morawiecki underlined that thanks to Lech and Jarosław Kaczyński our flag is today more white and red rather than only whiter, and that our political camp is more united on the basis of ideals and service for Poland, not the ties of power.
