GROM operatives are the elite of the Polish Army and of world special operations forces who hold up tradition of the legendary Silent Unseen Paratroopers of the Home Army. The unit’s heritage is the memory of 316 heroes, selected and trained in Great Britain, and parachuted into occupied Poland during World War II.
Soldiers from the Unit have carried out operations in Afghanistan, Iraq and Kosovo. They were also successful in the Balkans and in Haiti. Currently, the Unit is mainly involved in training special operations forces in many locations around the globe.
