The Prime Minister stressed that a well-maintained infrastructure will translate into the country’s fast and sustainable economic development. As he added, the expansion of local government roads should be carried out in cooperation with local governments, and funds from the LGRF come from the state budget.
He also pointed to the impact of the expansion of local government roads on the safety, comfort and quality of the residents’ everyday lives: better roads mean more opportunities for investments and new jobs; travelling between smaller towns will be easier and safer and their residents will gain new opportunities. The Prime Minister added, “These are the roads that Poles travel on every day. That is why we are committed to ensuring comfort and safety”.
“The Local Government Roads Fund is the largest government support in history for the modernisation and construction of local roads,” concluded Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.
