Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki: The "500+" Programme is an investment in Poland’s future

This is a 500+ project for the first child, previously not eligible due to the income criterion said the Head of Government during his visit to the community day care centre Świetlik in Rybie, Raszyn.

 

The amendments will allow every child to receive the benefit until they reach legal age. Family 500+ Programme supports Polish families.

The Prime Minister emphasized that it is a long-term investment which will yield a huge profit in a few years, resulting in better education, health and preparation for work life of our children.

Applications for the benefit for the first child can be submitted in electronic form: from 1 July, and in paper form: from 1 August. As the Minister for Family, Labour and Social Policy, Mrs. Elżbieta Rafalska stated, the local government will have three months to issue a decision, and if the decision is issued after the deadline, a compensation calculated from 1 July will be paid.

Mrs. Elżbieta Rafalska noted that a total of 6.8 million children will benefit from the 500+ Programme while its cost will amount to over PLN 31 billion in 2019.

The draft of the Act on the 500+ Programme for the first child will be subject to public consultations for 21 days.
