Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki: Poland has exceptionally long and great parliamentary tradition

The Prime Minister took part in the celebration for the 100th anniversary of the inaugural session of the Legislative Sejm. As he said, the Legislative Sejm not only established the Second Polish Republic, but its task was also to build laws, to compile and develop the Constitution, and, above all, to lead Poland to post-partition reunification. And it did fulfil its task.

The Prime Minister pointed out that for Poland, democracy has always been a promise of modernity, equality and freedom. He added that at that time, freedom and solidarity were best expressed by women’s right to vote and to be elected.

Our aim is still to unify Poland, to build one Republic which in fundamental matters thinks about its reason of state in a united and communal way concluded the Prime Minister.
