Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki: "Pension plus" programme is a sign of gratitude and appreciation of the seniors

The Head of Government met the representatives of the Senior Clubs called Pokusa and Złota Jesień in Jasieniec. He discussed with them the question of the Act adopted by the Sejm, thanks to which, in 2019, all pensioners in Poland will receive an additional pension. Also the Marshal of the Sejm Marek Kuchciński and Marshal of the Senate Stanisław Karczewski took part in the meeting.

The Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki pointed out that the government wants to do historical justice to our seniors – mothers, fathers, grandfathers and grandmothers. As he added, it is not a gift, but a sign of gratitude and appreciation of the acts of our compatriots, seniors and pensioners.

The Head of Government expressed his conviction that the solution introduced will enable the building of a more solidarity-based society.

The Act on a single contribution to pensioners and retirees in 2019, was adopted by the Sejm on 4 April 2019.
