The National Day of Remembrance for Victims of the Katyń Massacre is celebrated on the anniversary of publishing by the Germans, in 1943, the information about having discovered mass graves of the Polish Army officers in the former USSR. The Day was established by the Sejm on 14 November 2007.

The Katyń Museum, a branch of the Polish Army Museum, was opened 3 years ago in the Caponier of the Warsaw Citadel.
