Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki on the re-establishment of local connections

Today, an act entered into force the aim of which is to re-establish local bus connections. It is a great opportunity to stimulate another huge wave of the Polish capitalism said the Head of Government during his meeting with local government officials in the Chancellery of the Prime Minister.

As the Prime Minister pointed out, re-establishment of connections, half of which disappeared in the last 20 years, is to boost entrepreneurship and increase business opportunities to create new jobs.

In 2019, the government will allocate PLN 300 million for the re-establishment of bus connections, and in the subsequent years – PLN 800 million each year. Thanks to this plan, the citizens from smaller locations, the access to which was difficult or impossible, will we able to use public transport to go to work, school, healthcare facilities, etc.

Mateusz Morawiecki recalled that the government is implementing a local roads renovation and construction programme as well. For this aim, approximately PLN 6 billion is allocated.
