Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki emphasised the importance of the development of local roads for the current government. As he added, the actions undertaken for the development of road infrastructure are pro-development and pro-ecological in nature.

The majority of road accidents in Poland happen on local roads said the Prime Minister, highlighting the impact of road investments on increasing safety on poviat and gmina roads.

The funds from the Local Government Roads Fund are allocated to co-financing repairs and modernisation of local roads. Its budget in 2019 will amount to approximately PLN 6 billion. The result is a coherent and integrated transport system throughout the country. Currently, there are 112 tasks in progress.
