Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki on the government investments in railways

Our actions are focused on more than social policy, they also include development policy, supporting infrastructure programmes, with the railway programme at the forefront said the head of government during the ceremony of signing the contract for the Execution of design works and construction works on the railway line no. 16 between Ozorków and Łęczyca in Łódź.

The Prime Minister emphasized that every railway line should be modernized, as is the case here, between Ozorków and Łęczyca. He also expressed his hope that all this will serve the citizens whose standard of living will be on par with the rest of Europe

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki pointed out that the infrastructure development policy is crucial for the government. As he said, we are working on the reconstruction of about twenty railway lines in various places throughout Poland, which have basically been excluded from train traffic.

The head of government also stated that the expenditure made as part of the modernisation of railways should, within a few years, change transport opportunities in Poland.

The contract for the Execution of design works and construction works on railway line no. 16 between Ozorków and Łęczyca stipulates modernisation of tracks. The works will be carried out as part of modernising railway line no. 16 Łódź Kaliska - Kutno. The net value of the investment will amount to PLN 129.5 million, financial resources come from the state budget. Works are planned to be carried out during the years 2018 – 2022.
