Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki: new helicopters for the Police will improve the safety of Polish citizens.

The Prime Minister and the Minister of the Interior and Administration Joachim Brudziński attended a ceremony during which two Black Hawk helicopters were handed over to the Polish Police.

Modernisation of the Polish Police constitutes an important step which will improve the safety of Polish citizens said the Prime Minister. The head of the government also stressed that the new helicopters were produced in Poland. We want the Police to be better equipped, especially with modern machines produced in our country said Mateusz Morawiecki.

Minister Joachim Brudziński reminded that the newest Police helicopter is 13 years old, and the oldest – 47 years old. There was simply no other way than doing everything in our power to finally provide the Polish Police with new helicopters emphasised the head of the Ministry of the Interior and Administration.

The Police purchased 3 Black Hawk helicopters produced in Mielec. The third one will be delivered in March 2019. As a result of this purchase, Poland became the eight country using Black Hawk helicopters produced in PZL Mielec.
