Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki met EC Chief Negotiator for Brexit, Michel Barnier

The aim of the meeting was to discuss the state of Brexit negotiations, including in the context of March European Council’s results and works carried out in the British Parliament. Also, the question of possible scenarios of events in the coming months was discussed, as well as the question of future EU-UK relations.

The Prime Minister highlighted that in the absence of agreement, it will be important to set balanced and beneficial for both parties relations in trade, in questions of safety, as well as in questions related to the financing of projects.

He declared also that if the United Kingdom requests to extend Brexit again, it will be constructively considered.

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki thanked Michael Barnier for the long and difficult, but partner process of negotiations with the United Kingdom during the last two years.
