Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki: Jan Olszewski was a man of impeccable integrity, who stood by his convictions with tremendous courage

He proved his steadfast nature on many occasions. First, during World War II, then at the time of the Polish People’s Republic and the Third Polish Republic Prime Minister wrote on Twitter.

 


Today we mourn the passing of Jan Olszewski – a politician, attorney, social activist, advocate in political trials during the communist era. Scout of the Grey Ranks and participant in the Warsaw Uprising, co-founder of the Workers' Defence Committee, advisor to Solidarity, participant in the Round Table Talks, advisor to the late President Lech Kaczyński.

Prime Minister of the government of free Poland, deputy to the Sejm of the first, third and fourth term, Knight of the Order of the White Eagle.

The Republic of Poland has suffered an unimaginable loss. Lest we forget wrote Mateusz Morawiecki.
