Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki: from 1 October 2019 we will reduce PIT

Today, the Council of Ministers adopted a bill reducing the PIT rate from 18% to 17%. In addition, employee costs will be reduced by at least doubling the tax deductible costs for employees.

This project will result in a net increase for a dozen or so million employees and pensioners, because the latter also pay PIT. It is at least a few hundred zlotys a year more in Poles’ wallets said the Head of Government during his visit to the Ceramika Tubądzin II production plant in the Łódź Province.

With these solutions, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki is fulfilling his promise made under PiS’s New Five.

The new rules are to apply from 1 October 2019. The financial consequences of reducing PIT and increasing tax deductible costs will amount to over PLN 9.6 billion annually.
