The Minister of National Defence Mariusz Błaszczak signed a contract for the delivery of anti-submarine helicopters suited to ensure navigability of sea routes, port security and protection of surface vessels in the PZL-Świdnik aircraft construction plant. These helicopters may also be used for combat search and rescue operations (CSAR).
The Prime Minister stressed that part of helicopter production will take place in Świdnik.
Helicopter production is our Polish tradition which we will not abandon. He added that the
next 5–10 years looks better and better when it comes to helicopter production in Poland.
And we are on the right track to strengthen the plant in Świdnik, just like before, we have tried and are trying to strengthen the plant in Mielec through appropriate purchases the head of the government said.
