Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at the #LukaVAT Conference

The Head of the Government participated in a conference on the topic of the VAT gap, which was held at the National Stadium in Warsaw. In his comments, he referred to VAT and CIT collection and the efficiency of state institutions.

As he underlined in his conversation with Wojciech Surmacz, President of the Polish Press Agency (PAP), the fight against VAT mafia was challenging but resulted in a new technology for IT analysis.

New weapons were drawn against VAT criminals, which surprised the market and played a crucial role in overcoming the issue of VAT fraud said the Prime Minister.

According to Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, the reason for the economic mini-miracle is successful VAT and CIT collection and the efficiency of state institutions. The current government implemented a verification procedure intended to prevent any potential transactions which may be detrimental to the State.

The Head of the Government also stressed that the Law and Justice party (PiS) fixing the gaps in the VAT system is excellent news for Polish entrepreneurs who as a result do not have to take part in unfair competition against those who did not pay VAT.
