Prime Minister Ewa Kopacz’s talks concerning the situation in the coal mining industry

Prime Minister Ewa Kopacz took note of a petition submitted to the Governor of Warmia and Mazury by the miners’ trade union protesting in Braniewo.

The head of government instructed to prepare information on the current situation in the coal mining industry and a report describing the actions taken by the government and management of Kompania Węglowa from May to September 2014.

She also met with the Interdepartmental Team for the Functioning of Hard Coal Mining in Poland which was established in April 2014.

Prime Minister Ewa Kopacz requested that the Parliament expedite the work on laws that involve the introduction of concessions for trade in coal and implementation of the system of quality certificates for trading in this raw material.

The head of government has received assurance that numbers will be assigned to the laws on Friday, and the first reading (in the committee) will take place at the next sitting of the Sejm.
