Prime Minister Beata Szydło to Polish female handball players: We are proud of you

“Thank you for your fantastic struggle“ – the head of the government said during the greeting ceremony of the Polish players, who ranked the fourth in the World Women’s Handball Championship in Denmark.

Handball is a sport which requires great humbleness, but also teaches bravery and diligence – prime minister emphasised. It’s not an easy sport. That’s why you deserve great congratulations even more – she added.

Beata Szydło pointed out that she believes in Poles’ qualification to the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro 2016. I believe you will win medals at the Olympic Games and will be proud of your performance – the prime minister said.

The head of the government added that the government wants the sport in Poland to have good conditions for development. The minister of sport is an advocate of appreciating competitors who represent Poland, giving us this great joy and sense of pride – the prime minister pointed out.

World Women’s Handball Championship

This year’s World Women’s Handball Championship took place in Denmark. The Polish team was classified on the high forth position. It means the Poles are among the world’s best teams. In March our team will fight to get qualified to the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro 2016.
