Prime Minister Beata Szydło thanked the Prime Minister of Hungary, Victor Orbán, for organising another meeting under the Hungarian Presidency of V4. We are working very intensively under the Hungarian Presidency of the Visegrád Group, she said.

V4 together on posting of workers

I would like to mention three important issues, which we have addressed as the Visegrád Group, related to our cooperation within the European Union. Firstly - our joint position on posting of workers. We have given a mandate to Prime Minister Victor Orbán to negotiate this issue with France, said Prime Minister. The head of the Polish government emphasised that it was important for the Visegrád Group that the policy on posted workers should be based on a compromise, which would not lock the market to domestic companies due to excessive bureaucratic burdens or protectionism. This is our goal and we address this goal together.

Another issue pertains to joint assistance and joint support for Italy in relation to the crisis in the Mediterranean Sea. We have offered joint support to Italy and we expect more openness in the European Union in the area of migration policy, stated Prime Minister.

V4 also has a joint position on dual quality of food products sold in our region. It is a very important issue, which affects not only our products, opportunities for our agricultural producers and traders, but primarily health of our citizens, stressed Prime Minister. She added that in the opinion of V4 countries, the European Commission had to react. We have provided Prime Minister Robert Fico with a mandate on this issue, emphasised the head of the government.

Security and development - the meeting with the Prime Minister of Israel

The discussions with Benjamin Netanyahu were dominated by two issues: security and development. This is most important to our citizens, to the development of our region, for our countries. It is difficult not to talk about the most important crisis these days, namely the migration crisis, stated Prime Minister.

She added that the talks with the Prime Minister of Israel had also been related to opportunities for joint actions in combating terrorism, as well as to the development. We talked about cooperation based on mutual experiences, cooperation of companies, exchange of youth and trainings for young people in the area of modern technologies, support for our entrepreneurs, we talked about the links between the economy and science, she said.

In the opinion of the Prime Minister it was a very fruitful meeting and discussions. We want this cooperation to continue to develop and we immediately start translating these agreements into reality, she stressed.
