As noted by the head of government, is a proof that the economic program implemented by the Law and Justice Party’s government for about 18 months, brings the expected results. Unemployment is falling, people have higher income, families receive financial support – enumerated Prime Minister Beata Szydło. She also informed that at today's meeting of the Council of Ministers an act has been adopted which will be the basis for the introduction of the Apartment+ programme.

State program brings results

All this shows that the programme that we have implemented, the program aiming to support families, to ensure a dignified standard of living for the Poles, brings results, – said the head of government.

Prime Minister Beata Szydło noted that this is also a good information for entrepreneurs and employers, and it is a part of the implementation of the Strategy for Responsible Development.

In the chief of the government’s opinion, today’s number of 7.7%, is also a proof for the grumblers, those who said that it was impossible to spend a dozen or so – and this year already more than 20 billion zloty from the state budget to support families, because the budget would not stand it, the public finance would not stand it, because the economy would collapse.

That is true freedom

The Prime Minister noted that this is what freedom is about. The fact that people have a good job, decent salary, can make decisions about their future and that of their families is a true freedom we should all enjoy – said Beata Szydło.

The Prime Minister thanked the Ministers for their great contribution to the achievement of these results. She emphasised, however, that the true heroes are the Polish entrepreneurs, and workers, who work out such economic effects each day.

Unemployment is falling in all regions

Minister of Family, Labour and Social Policy Elżbieta Rafalska underlined that the successive reductions in the unemployment rate confirm the excellent situation on the labour market. She rported that the unemployment rate compared to March fell by 0.4 percentage points.

The head of the Ministry of Labour added that the number of unemployed registered at the district labour offices fell below 1 million 300 thousand people. It is especially gratifying to know that unemployment is falling in all regions, – said Elżbieta Rafalska. The Minister of Labour drew attention to the fact that the strongest decline was recorded in the Lower Silesia, Wielkopolska, Warmia-Masurian and West Pomeranian Voivodeship. She explained that the situation is connected with the beginning of seasonal works, especially in constructions, horticulture, agriculture and forestry.

Unemployment will be lower

According to Elżbieta Rafalska, in the coming months, the unemployment rate is projected to further decline to the level of 7%. As the head of the Ministry of Labour, low unemployment, wage increases and the economic growth have a positive influence on the Social Insurance Fund, the Guaranteed Employee Benefits Fund and the Labour Fund.
