Such days as today become historical – said Prime Minister Beata Szydło when commenting on the entry of the first vessel with a LNG cargo from the USA into the Świnoujście terminal. In the future, the first shipment of gas from the USA to Poland will surely be included into history textbooks. This day is a symbolic day which shows that Poland actually implements the ideas of a secure country – stressed the Prime Minister.

We want to be a developing and secure country

This investment combines two priorities of the Polish Government: security and development – stressed Prime Minister Beata Szydło. In her opinion, the economic results – which are hard and real – show that the way chosen by the Polish Government is not only the way in the right direction, but, first of all, it is effective. The Head of Government declared that she would continue that selected course. Today, Poland may say that is a secure and sovereign country also due to the fact that we have such great investment projects – said Beata Szydło. The Prime Minister expressed her hope for further and more effective cooperation with the United States.

Strategic investment project

The President Lech Kaczyński LNG Terminal was commissioned in 2015. According to the Head of Government, it guarantees the security of Poland. On the occasion of receiving the first delivery of liquefied natural gas from the USA, Prime Minister Beata Szydło stressed the significant role of the late President Lech Kaczyński, whose strategic thinking had underpinned that investment project. The Head of Government also reminded that Prime Minister Jarosław Kaczyński had decided on financing that project.
