The CSO data confirm the increasing growth

The economic growth is a priority of the Government of Beata Szydło and the effects of 500+ and Morawiecki Plan may be seen with the naked eye. This is confirmed by the hard data published on Thursday by the CSO. The latest CSO data prove that the Plus Economy is a fact. The project is based on the development-oriented activity of the Government so that the economic operators and the Poles have the better conditions to work and function– stated the Prime Minister. She also added that these results are possible thanks to statutory projects, systemic changes to facilitate the life of economic operators. As the Head of the Government said, this was also thanks to the diligence and resourcefulness of the Poles which are a driving force of the economy.

Increased sale, production and salaries

Thanks to community- and development-oriented programmes driving the economy, Polish families may afford more and more goods. This is confirmed by the CSO data on retail sale which in March increased by 9.7% in annual terms and by 16.5% in monthly terms. The highest increase was recorded in the sale of fuels (by 23.6% in annual terms), clothes and footwear (by 20.3%), furniture, household appliances and audio/video products (by 18.1%), press and books (by 17.8%). These are the products which are necessary and most needed by Polish families which could not afford them before.

As Prime Minister Beata Szydło informed, production sold of construction enterprises increased in March by 17.2% on a year-to-year basis. In monthly terms, the increase by 49.4% was recorded.

What is also important for the budget are the reduced CIT – from 19 to 15% as well as the effects of tightening the fiscal system and growing VAT revenues. In addition, the situation in the labour market is very good and the March rise in salaries is higher than expected. In March, salaries rose by 5.2% and the employment level by 4.5% in annual terms.

Attention should also be paid to the increase in industrial production. According to the CSO, in March it increased by 11.1% on a year-to-year basis and when compared to the previous months, the increase amounted to 17.6%. Seasonally adjusted industrial production increased by 8.1% on a year-to-year basis and by 2.1% on a month-to-month basis.

These rates show that the Polish economy is increasingly developing, the financial situation of the Poles is improving and the Government implement their economic goals – stressed Prime Minister Beata Szydło. She also mentioned that many people had had doubts and said that Poland could not afford the Family 500 Plus programme. We have implemented this programme. It affected the development and economic acceleration of Poland. We have also eliminated the poverty of children and the budget handled it – indicated the Prime Minister.

Year marked by the Plus Economy

The Prime Minister announced further beneficial solutions for business to be introduced by the Government in the coming year. We are looking into the future with optimism. We shall continue our activity so as to provide Polish economic operators with the better conditions to function and let them conquer foreign markets. We would also like to improve the quality of life of the Poles – said Prime Minister.

On Sunday, Prime Minister Beata Szydło, together with Chancellor Angela Merkel, is opening the Hannover fair. This is another opportunity to promote Polish enterprises and industry. We are the important economy with which everybody wants to cooperate and we have much to offer – convinced the Prime Minister. As she said, under the rule of the PO-PSL Government Poland had followed in Greece’s footsteps, national debt had grown dramatically, the state could not afford to support Polish families. The Poles elected the PiS party and today, with satisfaction, I can say that the development, security, Plus Economy serve the development of the country and its citizens – stressed the Head of the Government.
