Prime Minister Beata Szydło named the Person of the Year at the 27th Economic Forum in Krynica

I am only the captain of the team which is to change Poland, said the Prime Minister when accepting the Person of the Year award at the 27th Economic Forum in Krynica. The Programme Council of the Economic Forum awards the title to eminent persons who by their attitude and efforts had the greatest impact on developments in Central and Eastern Europe.

At the beginning, the Prime Minister thanked Jarosław Kaczyński, emphasizing that it was his determination that had contributed to victories and the achieved success. She also added that we won because we were a team, saying that thanks should be extended also to all those who cooperated on developing the programme of the Law and Justice, to experts and her colleagues from the Law and Justice parliamentary club. It is in fact an award for all, for my colleagues who are today at this room, who work in the government and implement specific projects and programmes, said the Prime Minister.

Beata Szydło assured that her government was committed to complete the project. In order to achieve that the whole team must stick together and consistently aim at fulfilling its commitments, said the Prime Minister. I can safely say that there is no minister in the government who would not have any accomplishments to boast about. All ministries work brilliantly and thanks to them we can now say that plenty of good things are happening, she added.

The Prime Minister stated that in the past she had visited the Economic Forum in Krynica as a local government representative and as a member of parliament and she had always had an opportunity to listen to discussions about Poland, Europe and on what to do in order to make our lives better, to place our country at the forefront of contemporary Europe.

At the end, she expressed her hope that the Forum would continue to unite everyone in discussion on the future which is to be safe and satisfactory for young Poles.
