Talking about economy within the pan-European perspective

Silesia is the very heart of our economy. The local atmosphere has always fostered economic growth. Today, we have to think about what needs to be done in order to protect the region that was exploited so heavily over the decades - Prime minister Beata Szydło said. She added that economically strong Silesia was beneficial for the growth of the entire Polish economy. The head of the government reminded that the metropolitan act recently adopted by the Sejm exerts a positive impact on this particular region, enabling it to thrive. Establishment of the Polish Mining Group, an organization that offers a chance of succeeding to the Polish coal mining sector by transforming it into a modern branch of the industry, would have a similar effect too.

Government projects in support of the economy

Prime Minister Beata Szydło stressed that “the economy is an absolute priority for the Polish government”. She noted that those words were backed by specific actions. She mentioned the “Responsible Growth Plan” implemented by Deputy Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. This program is a great chance for Poland, a great chance for the individual regions of our country, as we intend to talk about sustainable growth. This program offers also a great chance for Europe - the Prime Minister convinced. She also added that the “Morawiecki plan” is not the only government project boosting development of the Polish economy. The “Mieszkanie+” program, the details of which will be communicated soon, as well as the Family 500+ program are among the initiatives of this type as well. Reindustrialization, capital growth and support for businesses are our most important objectives. We are attracting investors who intend to develop the Polish economic potential, provide Poles with jobs and pay taxes in Poland. Those taxes will allow us to fund projects boosting the growth of Poland - the head of the government stressed. She also added that her government was making sure that the wealth is distributed equally among all citizens.

Poland: a strong and recognizable world brand

Courage, optimism and responsibility are values that are very much required in business. The activities taken by the government are based precisely on those criteria - Prime Minister Szydło said. She underscored that in order for the economy to flourish, cooperation between the world of politics and business was required. It is our ambition to build a strong Polish economy that is respected internationally. We wish to support those who are creative. We are open to cooperation with business. We want to build the Polish brand - she summed up.
