Prime Minister Beata Szydło at Congress 590: we are building modern Poland, based on values

Over the last twelve months we have made steps to release creativity and energy of Poles, said Prime Minister Beata Szydło. Congress 590 began on Thursday morning in Jasionka near Rzeszów. The opening of the event was attended by 2,000 representatives of Polish business and public life and the Prime Minister.

Building a strong innovative economy on the basis of the Polish potential

The greatest wealth of Podkarpacie region are the people. It is also the largest capital of our homeland. We meet today in the region which symbolically combines modernity and tradition, the values on which we build Poland, stressed Prime Minister Beata Szydło at Thursday’s opening of the Congress 590. As the head of the government said, the congress brought together representatives of the Polish authorities, local governments, and small, medium-sized and large companies. Here we combine the best, the best of Poland, she added.

The head of the government indicated that her government wanted to talk about the future and about the Polish economy becoming the flywheel that leads to thinking about ambitious development goals and an opportunity for young people.

Responsible development: a priority of the government for the coming months

The Prime Minister recalled that the first year of the Law and Justice government ended on Wednesday. These were good 12 months when, working hard, we have addressed the affairs of ordinary people. The initial time was devoted primarily to strengthening Polish families, building a decent life of Polish families, their stability and security. Today we move on to the second stage and the second stage is called responsible development, she stressed.

The head of the government concluded that it was time when ordinary citizens become the elites. Anyone who has a vision and dreams will be supported in their achievement by the state.

The Prime Minister said that during the congress she wanted to talk among others about what the state can do for all entrepreneurs, so that they can make the most out of their potential and energy, creativity in Poland. We have made steps to release Polish creativity, she argued. She added that our common future and building our common dream, Poland, depended on it.

Promoting the idea of economic patriotism and Polish products, the Prime Minister expressed the hope that the Congress 590 would provide concrete solutions and the Polish Government would prepare a law that would support Polish entrepreneurship and would allow the economy to develop dynamically.

Science, business and politics in the service of man

We need to think about future generations, about what is our greatest potential, about education, schooling, because it builds the pillars of our development, said Prime Minister Beata Szydło. At the same time she indicated that her government created a good climate for tightening of cooperation between science and business in Poland, which are responsible for the development of innovative economy.

In the Prime Minister’s opinion, when undertaking great challenges we needed to think about the man and the humanist dimension of the economy so that we did not miss the most important thing in their achievement. The economy is to serve the people, build the nation’s potential.

Congress of Innovators in Warsaw

A Congress of Innovators with the participation of young people from the Visegrad Group countries is planned for the beginning of 2017 in Warsaw, announced Prime Minister Beata Szydło during the opening of the Congress 590. We are currently holding the presidency of the Visegrad Group and at the end of the term they will talk with each other there, they will compare their experience, they will build Poland’s position as an innovative country, said the Prime Minister.

“Constitution for the business”

On Friday, the second day of the congress, Deputy Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki is to present a “Constitution for the business” or a package of solutions to facilitate running a business. As Deputy Prime Minister Morawiecki said, the Constitution for the business is to ... reduce the administrative burden, speed up issuing construction permits and environmental decisions so that Polish entrepreneurs can actually invest more.

Congress 590. International meeting of entrepreneurs

The Thursday opening of the Congress 590 in Jasionka near Rzeszów was attended by Prime Minister Beata Szydło, President Andrzej Duda and Deputy Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. The main purpose of the congress, which will last until Friday, is to exchange ideas and experiences of representatives of the circles which have an impact on the development of the economy and entrepreneurship.

In addition to representatives of the most important authorities, Jasionka was also visited by the representatives of the largest Polish and foreign companies, such as PKO BP, PZU, PGNiG, Asseco, CD Projekt, Google, Inglot, Intel, Orange and Pratt & Whitney.

The congress takes its name from the prefix of the bar code on goods manufactured or distributed by Polish companies.

Prime Minister Beata Szydło commemorated late Grażyna Gęsicka

The head of the government started her Thursday visit to Podkarpacie region with laying flowers at plaque commemorating late Minister of Regional Development Grażyna Gęsicka. The plaque is situated in the Science and Technology Park Rzeszów-Dworzysko.

Late Grażyna Gęsicka died in the Smoleńsk plane crash on 10 April 2010. She was a Law and Justice Sejm deputy from the Rzeszów constituency.
