Prime Minister at the celebration of the National Independence Day

Patriotism means love for Poland every single day, but on 11th November, the Independence Day, we want to express this love in a special way. Let us display national flags in our homes and celebrate together Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki appealed to the fellow citizens in a spot published on Twitter on the occasion of the National Independence Day.

The head of the government participated in the Ceremonial Changing of the Guard on Piłsudski Square, which was combined with the Independence Memorial Appeal.

The celebrations commenced with a joint singing of the Polish national anthem. This year marks the 101st anniversary of  regaining independence by Poland. It is one of the most important public holidays for Poles.

Prime Minister also laid flowers on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and in front of the Józef Piłsudski Monument.

On the occasion of the holiday, as every year, the building of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister lit up in white and red colours.
