The Prime Minister pointed out that in view of the high probability of a no-deal Brexit, the EU should provide assistance to farmers who might be affected, in particular food exporters to the UK.

Furthermore, he underlined that the Common Agricultural Policy should continue to play a significant role in the Union’s budget. It is essential that subsidies for farmers are leveled in all EU countries.

The meeting was also an opportunity to present the acting Commissioner for Agriculture with profile of the Polish candidate for his successor, Janusz Wojciechowski.
