Meeting of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki with the Prime Minister of Belgium

During the meeting of the head of government with Charles Michel, Prime Minister of the federal government of the Kingdom of Belgium, the two Prime Ministers discussed the matters related to bilateral and European cooperation. The discussions focused i.a. on Brexit negotiations and the EU budget for 2021–27.

The Prime Ministers also talked about the challenges related to EU’s eastern policy, European migration policy, transatlantic relations and the upcoming European Parliament elections.

The year 2019 will mark the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Poland and Belgium and the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Flanders by the 1st Armoured Division commanded by general Stanisław Maczek.
