Meeting of Prime Minister Beata Szydło with the Chairman of the Chinese Parliament

On Thursday (13 July), Prime Minister Beata Szydło met with Mr Zhang Dejiang, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress. The topics discussed included development of economic cooperation and strategic partnership.

Polish-Chinese partnership

The main topic of the conversation between Prime Minister Beata Szydło and the Chairman of the Parliament of the People’s Republic of China was the search for practical mechanisms of Polish-Chinese strategic partnership. The discussion also concerned further development of economic cooperation. The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss cooperation at multilateral fora, including within the 16+1 format, and to encourage Chinese investors to take a greater interest in the Polish market.

The meeting confirmed the continuing high dynamics of Polish-Chinese meetings at the highest level. It demonstrates commitment of both parties to the implementation of the provisions of comprehensive strategic partnership connecting Poland and China since 2016.

Chinese-Polish Investment and Logistic Infrastructure Forum

The Chinese-Polish Investment and Logistic Infrastructure Forum was an event accompanying the visit of the Chinese politician. The Forum was attended by the representatives of both the Chinese business and Polish construction, logistics, aviation and railway sectors. The attendees of the Forum included: the Government Plenipotentiary for the Construction of the Central Transport Hub, representatives of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, the Polish Investment and Trade Agency, and the Polish Development Fund.
