Mateusz Morawiecki: We must fight for patriotism, truth and justice

Prime Minister and President Andrzej Duda attended the Beer Tavern organised by the Management Board of the NSSZ Solidarność Trade Union’s Silesia and Dąbrowa Coal Basin region. This recurrent event is connected with the culture and tradition of Silesia. It is a way of expressing gratitude to union members for their work for the benefit of others and actions based on values that gave rise to the Independent and Self-Governing Solidarność Trade Union.

The entire Poland gives thanks to Solidarność for paving the route to freedom that was so hard for the people of Silesia, said Mateusz Morawiecki. He then added, it was thanks to you that the system change took off and we can now shape a better Poland and a better life for all Poles.

The Head of Government emphasised that the Silesian soil gives a beautiful testimony to solidarity, freedom and responsibility. The last 100 years have shown how the People of Silesia fought for our values, he said.

As Poles go, so goes Poland, the Prime Minister continued. This is why, as he remarked ‘we must fight for patriotism, truth and justice.’
