Energy security, sovereignty and independence of Poland
Poland is a safe country, Poland is a country beginning to develop fast and first of all it a country, where the most important priority of the government, priority of Law and Justice, is the message of the late Professor, President Lech Kaczyński, who - when talking about energy security, talking about Poland’s sovereignty - talked, though and was concerned with the safety of all of us - said Prime Minister Beata Szydło at the ceremony on Saturday.
The head of the government emphasised that President Kaczyński was not only concerned about Poland’s development, but also about Poland really being safe and sovereign.
President Lech Kaczyński achieved something grand, something which remains our obligation and testament, which we all undertake and have an obligation to fulfil - think about Poland, care about Poland, think about our sovereignty, not to let Poland be a country, which succumbs to influence of others, but be a country, which builds the future of Europe together with others, build the future of the world, but first of all that the Polish state cares about Polish citizens - she said.
Prime Minister Beata Szydło also noted that construction of the terminal was an economic energy investment, but symbolically it was an investment exemplifying our sovereignty and security.

The concept of construction of the gas port was presented by President Lech Kaczyński on 22 May 2006 at the meeting to the National Security Council. On Friday, the first ship with the commercial load of liquefied gas arrived at the terminal, the gas having been supplied by Qatargas Operating Company Limited. The next delivery of gas from Qatar is scheduled for half of July 2016. From then gas tankers are to arrive in Świnoujście regularly, once a month.
