Mateusz Morawiecki announced that a meeting of health ministers of EU Member States was scheduled for Friday. We want to exchange different experiences, cooperation within the European Union is very important - said the head of government in the context of the spread of coronavirus. He noted that during the Friday meeting issues related to the supply of medicines and medical equipment as well as independence from some suppliers will be discussed.

In the matter of EU migration policy, Mateusz Morawiecki emphasised that due to the situation in Greece and Turkey, the external borders of the European Union should be guarded, which is why Poland declares its readiness to provide assistance both in the form of our border guards’ involvement and material means.

Referring to the negotiations related to the new EU budget, the Prime Minister emphasised that the V4 countries are united in pursuing their goal. We formulated the Ambitious Europe group which requires an ambitious budget, he said. He pointed out that it is important for the European Union to take seriously its treaty obligations, such as cohesion policy, infrastructure construction and the common agricultural policy. He declared that Poland would also support innovation policy, however, based on the principles which will make it possible for Central Europe and the Visegrad Group countries to use it fairly. So the Ambitious Europe group calls for an ambitious budget - he added at the end.
