Responsible economic development leaves no one behind. We will be able to implement this extremely important social project still this year. It was our promise and we will keep it the Prime Minister said.

The supplementary benefit is addressed to persons over 18 years of age who are in a difficult life situation and unable to function independently.

An allowance of PLN 500 will depend on the amount of benefit received, e.g. pension or disability benefit. It will not be taxed, nor a health insurance contribution will be deducted from the allowance amount. The benefit will be granted by the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS), the Agricultural Social Insurance Fund (KRUS), the Pension Office or another pension authority.

The head of government stressed that the true measure of a man is how we treat the most vulnerable citizens. The Prime Minister pointed out that this project is part of the Accessibility Plus package aiming to eliminate barriers, provide care for these persons and ensure the possibility of obtaining additional funds for medicines.

Morawiecki announced that the funds for the benefits will be sourced from the Solidarity Support Fund for Disabled People.
