“To our successors, we are handing over a state in good condition and we hope that the next Government will work towards the good of Poland as hard as we did,” he added.

The Head of the Government expressed his thanks to the former Prime Minister Beata Szydło, all ministers and their subordinates for their work.

Among the significant events of the past four years, the Prime Minister mentioned celebrations of 100 years of Polish independence, introduction of the 500 plus programme and other social programmes and reduction of the age of retirement. “The last four years were marked by struggle: struggle for historical truth, struggle for a better economy and struggle for a just tax system,” stressed the Head of the Government.

Mateusz Morawiecki emphasised that the results of the election held on 13 October are the best proof that the Poles want our work to be continued.
