Dolnośląskie Province is the leader in unemployment drop

Visiting KGHM in Głogów, Prime Minister Ewa Kopacz talked about good results of the fight with unemployment in Lower Silesia. The annual drop in the number of job seekers in this region was 20.6%.

Effective fight with unemployment in Dolnośląskie Province is visible. This province is the leader when it comes to the annual drop in the number of job seekers - the head of the government said. The number of the unemployed has decreased by 20.6%.

The head of the government also commented on the data published by the Central Statistical Office, which informed last week that the unemployment rate dropped to 10.3% in June. It is 0.1% less than according to the estimates of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy.

The best result since 7 years

In June 2015, there were 1,622.3 thousand unemployed persons registered in Poland, i.e. 79.8 thousand fewer than a month earlier. This is the best result since 7 years. The drop in the unemployment rate was recorded in all provinces. In comparison with May, the number of job seekers decreased mostly in Pomorskie (by 5.9%), Dolnośląskie and Opolskie (by 5.7% each), as well as Wielkopolskie Province (by 5.5%).
