Communiqué from the meeting of the Public Benefit Committee

I would like the Public Benefit Committee to be a platform for discussion on challenges in the functioning of the civil society in Poland said Deputy Prime Minister Piotr Gliński, the head of the Public Benefit Committee.

The meeting of the Committee was devoted, among other things, to the cooperation between civil society organisations, self-government and regional audit chambers in order to harmonise rules of accounting for the delivery of public tasks. The invited presidents of regional audit chambers and representatives of the NGO sector also participated in the discussion.

The Committee concluded that the representatives of regional audit chambers and NGOs would jointly establish harmonised rules for conducting and settling tenders for realisation of public tasks. The head of the Committee announced actions in order to promote correct conduction of tenders.

Thank you very much for your opinions. We will examine the need of amendments to the Act on Public Benefit Activities, aiming at strengthening legal security of non-governmental organisations, which are providers of many sensitive social services said Deputy Prime Minister Piotr Gliński, concluding the findings of the Committee.
