It plans to lengthen sections of railway lines allowing passenger trains to travel at a speed over 160 km/h. Persons with limited mobility will have better access to railway transport. What is expected to improve significantly is conditions of railway transportation of goods, which should be a development stimulus for numerous regions in Poland.

What has also been provided for is the increase in the length of railway lines equipped with ERTMS, the European Rail Traffic Management System, as well as the number of two-level intersections and modernised level crossings. It should result it bigger comfort and safety of travel.

PLN 67.5 billion will be earmarked for railway investment projects implemented until 2023.
